Description: Rare French outdoor lantern, circa 1950. Blackened steel Art Deco hardware with a chiseled glass diffuser in the style of Max Ingrand. This technique was pioneered by French Art Deco glass masters of the 1930s whereby the surface of the glass is ‚battered‘ to chip off the top layer and create a random texture. This lantern is suitable for a covered outdoor space as well as indoors. Fine original condition with some patina to the lacquered parts. One brass and ceramic E27 socket with new wiring.
